In winter the ski resorts of the composite offer AlpenPlus skiing for everyone. From the Alpenrose you can reach the access to the Sudelfeld on foot. There is also a regular ski bus service. Directly in Bayrischzell there is a children’s ski area and an ice rink.
Especially for cross-country skiers, Bayrischzell is an ideal starting point. Depending on the snow conditions, up to 100 kilometers of cross-country trails offer perfect conditions for classic cross-country skiing and skating. For all levels of difficulty there are snow-safe cross-country ski runs throughout the season.
The family ski fun on the Sudelfeld has become even more varied and more snow-safe thanks to the extension of the ski area. The Sudelfeld is one of the largest connected ski resorts in Germany. In addition to numerous red and blue slopes there are also demanding black slopes. And when it’s time to stop for a break, cozy cabins provide you with the right food and fun.
The ski pass is also valid in the associated ski resorts such as the Sudelfeld or Zahme Kaiser unlimited. This way even the most discerning skiers get their money’s worth and find enough variety.
With very good snow conditions should the special skiing on the Wendelstein not miss, a local secret. Since the Wendelstein is a nature conservation area, the existing facilities have not been expanded for fifty years – the natural experience is all the more impressive.
Bayrischzell and its surroundings are popular starting points for ski hiking tours both along the prepared slopes as well as through the open countryside. For this, however, either a guide or a corresponding experience is necessary, the daily avalanche reports should also be considered.
