Bayrischzell, the picturesque mountain village at the foot of the Wendelstein. With its location right next to the train station in the center of the village, our Alpenrose is the ideal base all year round for a wide range of activities in the Tegernsee-Schliersee Alpine region: From hiking, cycling and mountain biking in spring, summer and autumn to skiing in winter – whether on the alpine slopes, in the cross-country ski trail or on a ski tour.

Around Bayrischzell you will find a wide range of options for relaxed cycling and sporty mountain bike tours.

For pleasure cyclists, there are leisurely tours without any significant inclines towards the Ursprungstal valley or Schliersee lake. But also ambitious mountain bikers will get their money’s worth here on marked routes and trails in various categories. In the village itself, bike shops offer rental bikes as desired: From trekking bikes to mountain bikes and e-bikes.

Magnificent peaks with breathtaking views. Rustic huts with hearty cuisine. Lush meadows and shady forests. Whether for a relaxed pleasure tour or a sporty mountain tour, our Alpenrose is the perfect base camp for all hikers and mountaineers.

Numerous hiking trails and Nordic walking routes start right outside our door. If you prefer to go up more comfortably, the nearby mountain railways on the Wendelstein, Wallberg or Spitzingsee will take you to the peaks – and back down again.

If you are looking for leisure activities in and around the water around Bayrischzell: Surrounding lakes such as Schliersee and Thiersee invite you to a relaxing day of swimming in summer with numerous sunbathing areas and lidos, as does the charming Alpenfreibad Bayrischzell. For colder days, a visit to the Vitaltherme is ideal monte mare in Schliersee, which is open all year round. And if you are looking for a very special nature experience, we recommend a jump into the Grüne Gumpe on hot summer days, a refreshing dip in the ice-cold mountain water of the Wendelsteinbach.

From the whisky distillery to the open-air museum and city trips to Munich, Kufstein or Innsbruck: Many attractions and sights in the region can be easily reached from the Alpenrose on a day trip – whether on a longer walk or a bike tour, whether by train or by car.
